This small bottle shop and tap room features ten keg lines of unique beers from around the country and beyond. It’s a modest bar with a lot of character. If you’re looking for a cocktail, take a chance and go to Riosca across the street. This cozy bar, which debuted just before Christmas 2018, on Chorley Road, serves you your favorite cocktails, including a real Pornstar Martini. They also have a vibrant selection of gins hidden behind the odd bar area.
The Moorside Farm has a well-stocked bar with enough variety for everyone’s tastes if you’re searching for a no-nonsense boozer. You’ll be in excellent company with four rotating guest ales on tap, over 30 different whiskies, and 30 different gins.
That Burger Place, an Americana burger shop located off Bolton Road, serves burgers every day and gives the Northern Quarter a run for its money. They provide a good lunch bargain for £6 that includes a burger, chips, and a can of pop (or any soft drink). Because the burgers are made to order, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Try the Whole Hog burger (£9), which is oozing with pulled pork and BBQ sauce and is piggin’ delicious.
Sykes Fish & Chips, also on Bolton Road, serves some of Greater Manchester’s greatest fish and chips. People line outside the door and down the top road for this cheerful family-run chippy, which serves big servings of golden fish with beastie batter.
Parks and recreation in Swinton
Victoria Park is located just off Manchester Road. This lovely park, which encompasses the Old Hall grounds, has won three Green Flag Awards and features a bowling green, tennis courts, a bandstand, and a children’s playground. Dog walking get-togethers are organized by locals.
Clifton Country Park is a serene nature reserve featuring a lake, trees, and meadows that are ideal for strolling (with or without a dog), fishing, or simply taking in the scenery and wildlife.
