From a network of contracted dentists, you choose a primary dental office. Your primary dental office will take care of all of your dental requirements, including specialist referrals if necessary. Diagnostic and preventative care, such as routine examinations, cleanings, and X-rays, are completely covered by United Concordia. Does United Concordia pay out of network?
Dentists in the United Concordia network agree to accept United Concordia’s discounted rates as full payment for covered procedures. You may be charged more by non-network dentists. This means that going to a network dentist will lower your out-of-pocket costs. Any licensed dentist will still be able to help you.
Why did I get a check from United Concordia?
During this tough period, United Concordia Dental has taken strong measures to support small and large groups. They are also glad to announce that qualified fully insured clients will get premium refunds.
United Concordia will return 50% of a monthly dental premium payment on average. Refunds will be issued in August* in the form of a cheque.
Prior to issuing actual reimbursements, United Concordia is required to notify recipients. So, starting the week of July 27, they’ll send postcards to small groups (under 100 enrolled) informing them of the returns they might expect in August. Large groups (100+ enrolled) will be notified by email at the same time by United Concordia’s allocated Account Executives.
