You will receive a Merseyflow sticker to place in the windscreen of your registered vehicle once you have registered. This sticker ensures that your car is recognized when traveling across the new bridge, and that you will not be sent a penalty charge notice as long as funds are available in your account.
Does merseyflow cover both bridges?
Although the Mersey Gateway Bridge is a toll road, a charge will not be imposed on every vehicle that passes across it. Residents in the Borough of Halton are entitled to apply for an electronic windscreen sticker that gives them unlimited travel across the bridges because they are the only direct road links across the Mersey in this area. This isn’t a completely free alternative for local motorists because there’s a £10 annual administrative fee, but it’s significantly more cheap in the long run than paying for each individual crossing – especially for drivers who use the bridge frequently.
Do you need a sticker for merseyflow?
Is it necessary for me to register? No. You will be able to drive over the Mersey Gateway Bridge and the Silver Jubilee Bridge in Halton without having to register, but you will be charged the full unregistered toll/charge for each voyage. Merseyflow is the only place where you may get discounts.
